Each honoree represents the incredible impact of Black Hills Works’ 67-year legacy of creating pathways to success\, independence\, and fulfillment for adults with disabilities. Their stories of personal triumph will remind us all of the unlimited potential that exists when communities come together to support\, empower\, and celebrate every person’s unique abilities. The 2025 honorees include: Abbi Wells\, Brian Bertsch\, Chloe Baldwin\, Chuck Wright\, Colby Adamson\, Dabian Spotted Elk\, Dana Peniska\, Daniel Cousins\, George Bentz\, Jonna Montgomery\, Kai Knutsen\, Kandie Ronfeldt\, Kathleen Hoffman\, Kelli Blosmo\, Latrell Rosales\, Manika Boheman-Gehl\, Matthew Blauvelt\, Max Dreyer\, Melissa Richmond\, Mitch Ehrenberg\, Sara Mellegaard\, Steve Rossow\, Teresa Krier\, and William Gallego. \nYour evening among the stars begins at 5:00 PM with a sparkling social hour featuring a cash bar\, silent auction with exclusive items\, exciting raffle opportunities\, and a photo booth to capture your glamorous moments. At 6:00 PM\, indulge in an exquisite dinner prepared especially for this celestial occasion\, followed by a delectable dessert service and our heartwarming program at 6:45 PM. Dinner includes: Poached pear and blue cheese salad\, sliced ribeye with a wild mushroom\, shallot and white wine cream sauce\, seared sea bass topped with tomato caper relish\, asiago garlic and herb red skin mashed potatoes\, and balsamic bacon roasted Brussel sprouts. Desserts include a choice of a chocolate torte with caramel chocolate ganache or basque cheesecake with fresh berries (both options are gluten free). A vegetarian option of seared sundried tomato polenta cakes topped with heirloom tomato\, herb\, and mushroom ragout is also available upon request. \nTickets are $125 per person\, with tables of eight available. Joining Jason as panelists will be Heather Pickering\, Artistic Director of Flutter Productions\, an all-ability theater program\, part of Black Hills Works; Leah Nixon\, Founder and Artistic Direct of Tiny & Snail\, a keepsake card company that believes “there’s magic in the mail”; Dr. Matthew Simmons\, a retired neurologist and Associate Dean for the Humanities in Medical Education at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine\, who believes art and humanities play an important role in medicine; and Marty Two Bulls\, Jr.\, the acting director of Rapid City Arts Council and accomplished artist who brings a deep commitment to the arts\, cultural equity\, and community development. \n  \nDoors open at 5:30 pm\, with the event from at 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm.
