The ABLE Act allows a person whose disability began before age 26*\, to save money without affecting Medicaid or most other federal benefits based on financial need. Stacy will provide information on who is qualified\, how to set up an ABLE account (called ENABLE in Nebraska)\, account limits\, qualified expenses\, how ABLE accounts compare to Special Needs Trusts\, and more. (*Beginning in 2026\, the qualifying disability onset age will be 46). Stacy will be hosting two sessions. For the first session\, a free lunch will be provided at 12:00 pm\, with the presentation beginning at 12:30 pm. The second session will be from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm.
