Black Hills Works’ mission is to create a community where everyone participates to achieve a life of full potential.
We serve more than 600 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, primarily in the Rapid City/Black Hills area. Wraparound support is provided through residential services, employment opportunities, transportation, arts expression, and more. The people we support are able to live, work, and play as fully included, active members of our community.
Our goal for 2024 is to increase partnership support, including both financial and in-kind support, by 7%. We have come a long way over the past 66 years, but we have a long way to go. Partnership support has made it possible for people with disabilities to be fully involved in our community and have the supports they need to be independent. Their disabilities, however, are lifelong. Government support ensure the people we support have their basic needs met. YOUR generous, heartfelt contributions ensure the people we support THRIVE.
