At Black Hills Works, we are proud to celebrate the success of the people we support—and Janelle Kelly’s journey is a wonderful example of dedication, growth, and determination in action.
Janelle has been working in the Pharmacy at Monument Health since April 26, 2019, and continues to make a meaningful impact each day. Her contributions have not gone unnoticed. Both the outgoing Director of Pharmacy, Dana Darger, and the incoming Director, Veronica Lesselyoung, shared high praise for Janelle’s work ethic and positive presence.
“Janelle is a delight to have in our department,” shared Dana. “I’m so glad we were able to make this a win for her and for us.”
Veronica echoed those sentiments, adding, “We are very lucky to have Janelle with us. She is dependable, hardworking, and always brings a sunny disposition to her work.”
Janelle’s success is rooted in her strong sense of self-determination. She completed pharmacy technician school through her own hard work and commitment and went on to earn her Pharmacy Technician Certification—an achievement she worked diligently to accomplish. She is highly skilled with technology, enjoys exploring new apps, and approaches learning with focus and enthusiasm. When Janelle sets a goal, she is determined to see it through and takes pride in completing tasks to the best of her ability.
As a Pharmacy Technician, Janelle plays a vital role in supporting daily operations. Her responsibilities include maintaining a clean and safe pharmacy environment by following regulations and procedures, assisting pharmacists, organizing the stockroom, keeping pharmaceutical equipment clean and orderly, and delivering medications to nursing stations. She stays busy, remains focused, and is known for her reliability—rarely missing work and always ready to help.
Janelle values her independence and thrives when learning new skills. She brings an excellent work ethic, a positive attitude, and a genuine commitment to doing her best. Her dedication makes her a true asset to the Pharmacy team at Monument Health and a success story we are proud to share.
