At Black Hills Works, we believe it is our duty to continuously work with each individual we support to explore how they can be employed as a responsible, contributing adults within our society, add value to our community, and share their unique talents and capabilities.
With the support of our community, we provide volunteer opportunities and employment skill-building for people with disabilities participating in our day services programs, with the goal they continue to gain new skills, try new things, and bring value to the community. We have a duty to shape shape public perception that people with disabilities have value and are valued.
We empower individuals by creating fulfilling days, promoting a sense of belonging, and by enhancing overall well-being by developing new skills and encouraging positive contributions to the community. An online scheduling system allows participants to exercise their hearts, bodies, and minds, by choosing their own experiences, to including volunteer opportunities, coffee with friends, art and theater classes, skill development opportunities, Special Olympic events, and more.
