When the curtain rises on The Little Prince this July, audiences will experience a beloved story brought to life by a cast that reflects the heart of our community. Every performance is a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to share their talents.
For nearly two decades, Flutter Productions has created opportunities for performers of all abilities to take the stage through theater, dance, and creative experiences. As part of the Black Hills Works family, Flutter is committed to creating high-quality productions where every performer can grow, connect, and shine.
The impact reaches far beyond the stage. Through rehearsals and performances, participants build confidence, strengthen communication skills, develop lasting friendships, and discover new strengths. Audience members also leave with a new perspective as they experience stories told with authenticity, imagination, and heart.
This summer’s production of The Little Prince beautifully reflects that mission. Based on Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s timeless classic, the story explores friendship, love, imagination, and the importance of seeing the value in others. It reminds us that the things that matter most are often the ones we cannot see.
Bringing this production to life takes an entire community. Individuals supported by Black Hills Works perform alongside community actors, volunteers, dancers, and families, creating an experience that celebrates what can happen when people come together through the arts.
We invite you to join us July 9–12 at the Performing Arts Center of Rapid City for The Little Prince. Whether this is your first introduction to the story or a chance to experience it again, we hope you’ll leave inspired by the performers, the message, and the joy that creativity can bring to us all.
