Celebrating Anthony: 25 Years of Dedication and Impact

For 25 years, Anthony has been a steady, dependable presence at Monument Health. His dedication, knowledge, and good humor have made him a favorite among coworkers and a vital part of the hospital team.

Throughout his career, Anthony has taken on many responsibilities—from assisting with surgery prep and managing canisters to delivering supplies, handling urgent orders, and ensuring essential items were stocked during COVID-19. He knows the hospital building inside and out, often helping staff and visitors find their way. Delivery drivers even call him directly to ensure orders are received quickly and efficiently.

Anthony’s impact goes far beyond his tasks. He’s the person who lightens the mood with a prank, lends a hand at potlucks and staff events, and makes sure birthdays are celebrated with a sheet cake of the celebrant’s choice. His thoughtfulness creates connection, while his sense of humor keeps the workplace lively.

Outside of his role at Monument Health, Anthony lives independently with a roommate and takes pride in managing his home and caring for his pets He also enjoys attending the fair, dining out with friends, shopping, and staying connected with coworkers. Each morning, he drives himself to work, coffee in hand—a ritual so consistent that staff at his favorite coffee shop notice if he doesn’t stop by and check in to make sure he’s okay.

When asked if he would choose a different career path, Anthony laughed, “I would probably stay with what I’m doing. I like the people. You just talk to different people every day. I have never woken up and not wanted to come to work. As soon as I get my coffee, I am good to go.”

Anthony’s story reminds us that employees with disabilities are essential to the success of our workplaces. His dedication, humor, and skill make him an invaluable part of the team—a true embodiment of NDEAM’s message: inclusive employment benefits everyone.
